Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable data platforms, pipelines, and lakehouse solutions.

• Independently convert architecture into production-ready implementations.

• Provide data science and reporting teams with high-quality, dependable data.

• Apply automation, CI/CD, and best practices for governance.

• Oversee, troubleshoot, and enhance production environments.

• Take the lead in gathering requirements and manage delivery from start to finish.

• Establish strong client relationships and contribute to business growth.

• Assist in sales efforts and help outline reusable delivery patterns.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of consulting experience in delivering data and analytics solutions.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or comparable platforms.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and independently provide scalable solutions.

• Full lifecycle experience (architecture, build, deployment, support) in Agile/CI-CD settings.

• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective stakeholder communication.

• Experience collaborating with data science, analytics, and business teams.

• Ability to support both reporting and advanced analytics scenarios.

• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude with a strong sense of ownership.

• Dedication to documentation and the development of reusable patterns.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, or equivalent lakehouse platforms.

• Experience with Spark-based processing (PySpark / Spark SQL).

• Proficiency in cloud data pipelines (Fabric Pipelines, ADF, or similar tools).

• Knowledge of Azure ML pipelines or integration with ML workflows.

• Proficient in Python or R, along with strong SQL capabilities.

• Experience in lakehouse design (medallion architecture, performance optimization).

• Skills in Power BI and reporting enablement.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.

• Understanding of data governance, security, and quality frameworks.

• Experience monitoring and supporting production data systems.

• Preferred Certifications: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600), Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Databricks or Spark certifications.
