This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +11 more states.
• Lead, mentor, and expand a distributed analytics team across various time zones.
• Set priorities, establish goals, and manage performance to cultivate a high-performing analytics organization.
• Develop and implement analytics standards, best practices, and processes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, event streams, and ingestion frameworks for analytics, product features, and ML applications.
• Oversee the design and implementation of cloud-native data infrastructure, including data warehouses, lakes, transformation layers, and orchestration.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and observability across data systems.
• Supervise and guide dashboards, automated reports, and analytics tools utilizing BI platforms such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI.
• Ensure robust data pipelines, reliable metrics, and scalable reporting solutions in partnership with data engineering.
• Prioritize analytics projects, manage roadmap demands, and guarantee timely delivery.
• Advocate for analytical excellence, including experiment design, KPI definition, and model validation.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and business leaders to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and scalability.
• Enhance analytics capabilities and provide actionable insights that drive organizational decision-making.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Systems, or a related quantitative field.
• Over 7 years of professional experience in data engineering, data platform development, or related fields, including the management of data teams.
• Extensive experience with contemporary cloud data ecosystems, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and AWS/Azure/GCP data services.
• Proficiency in building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Strong SQL and programming skills in Python, Scala, or comparable languages.
• Experience in data modeling, schema design, and real-time data ingestion strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• At this moment, candidates must possess current and valid authorization to work in the country where they are applying.
• Preferred: experience in managing internationally distributed teams.
• Preferred: familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern analytics stacks.
