This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Design, construct, and enhance high-volume, high-performance ELT pipelines for centralized data warehousing.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps to establish and maintain a reliable, scalable, and secure data platform architecture.
• Ensure compliance with data warehousing standards, data quality best practices, and metadata management processes.
• Assume responsibility for key components of the data warehouse and spearhead improvements in performance and reliability.
• Conduct architecture assessments and engage in system design discussions to offer technical leadership.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting a culture of quality and ongoing learning.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, developing scalable data systems and pipelines.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL.
• Strong programming abilities in Python.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and managing large-scale data lakes and warehouses.
• Solid foundation in computer science principles (data structures, algorithms, distributed systems).
• In-depth understanding of distributed system architecture with an emphasis on data availability, reliability, and performance.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
• Familiarity with technologies like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or dbt is a plus.
• Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices for data pipelines is a plus.
• Exposure to the deployment and monitoring of machine learning models is a plus.
