Senior Data Engineer – Enterprise B2B Marketplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Data Platform Development: Lead the foundational architecture, scaling strategies, and long-term vision of the enterprise data platform.

• Pipeline Development: Architect and oversee the creation of highly scalable data pipelines utilizing Airflow, dbt, and Python.

• Modern Tool Integration: Construct and uphold high-throughput integrations across essential modern data stack tools, including Fivetran, Redshift, and Sigma.

• Serverless Solutions: Create and enhance serverless data services and ingestion layers utilizing AWS infrastructure (e.g., AWS Lambda).

• Advanced Data Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish dependable, high-performance data warehouse architectures and analytical datasets.

• Observability & Reliability: Implement automated testing, comprehensive monitoring frameworks, and tracing to enhance pipeline reliability and reduce operational downtime.

• Technical Mentorship & Governance: Guide data engineers and analysts on best engineering practices while fostering continuous improvements in data governance and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Essential Technical Skills & Core Competencies:

• Professional Experience: 8+ years of demonstrated expertise in designing and constructing production-grade data pipelines and large-scale analytics infrastructures.

• Transformation & Orchestration Expertise: Strong, expert-level experience with dbt and Apache Airflow (or comparable orchestration and transformation frameworks).

• Data Warehouse Knowledge: Extensive background with modern data warehouse architecture, particularly in scaling and optimizing platforms like Amazon Redshift, along with tools such as Fivetran and Sigma.

• Engineering Proficiency: Advanced Python programming skills for creating complex pipelines, automation scripts, and serverless data processing.

• Data Analysis Expertise: Expert-level SQL capabilities with extensive experience in modeling large, complex datasets for high-performance extraction.

• Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge: In-depth practical familiarity with AWS cloud ecosystems, especially in deploying serverless computing architectures (e.g., Lambda).

• Cross-Functional Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead critical technical projects, align diverse stakeholders, and modernize legacy workflows with significant autonomy.
