Senior Data Engineer, EIM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the implementation of the technical vision for our internal Data Infrastructure.

• Enhance the maturity and technical excellence within your team and across the entire EIM organization.

• Develop a comprehensive data program that is agnostic to sources and integrates data from various business applications to provide insights on product usage, marketing effectiveness, employee retention, and LTV, all in one centralized platform.

• Instill true agility within the data team to operate in a sprint-based manner and build incrementally, embracing the principles of MVP and backlogs.

• Formulate and execute strategies aimed at achieving growth and productivity through the automation of existing and new operational models.

• Construct data models, perform data mapping, and design necessary ETL processes. Conduct build and validation activities for diverse data integrations.

• Collaborate with key stakeholder teams to deliver a scalable next-generation data architecture and robust data engineering processes that adhere to corporate Security and Data Governance standards.

• Promote a data-driven culture along with the development of competencies and data literacy throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in building and deploying data integration (ETL) workflows from multiple business applications (HubSpot, Salesforce, ADP WFN), databases, flat files, JSON/XML, and APIs, with a proven track record in an agile or scrum environment.

• Direct experience with Redshift, Snowflake, or similar cloud data warehouse technologies, with a preference for Snowflake.

• Proficient programming skills in SQL, Python, and data integration tools such as Fivetran and Stitch, with a preference for Fivetran.

• Expertise in creating source-to-target data mappings and ETL transformation rules.

• Experience in developing and/or managing near real-time data pipelines and fast data architectures.

• Familiarity with creating reusable ETL frameworks/components, automated testing, continuous integration, and automated build pipelines.

• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.

• Ability to influence others through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
