This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.
• Design, develop, and manage scalable and dependable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Create and sustain ingestion, transformation, and export pipelines across a variety of sources and destinations.
• Advance and enhance scalable data architecture.
• Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to provide curated, analysis-ready datasets and facilitate self-service analytics.
• Implement best practices for data quality, testing, monitoring, lineage, and reliability.
• Optimize workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability, including Spark jobs, queries, and partitioning strategies.
• Ensure secure and compliant data management, focusing on access controls, auditability, and governance.
• Contribute to the documentation, standards, and continuous enhancement of the data platform and engineering workflows.
• Develop and maintain MLOps automation for ML CI/CD, environments, artifacts, and versioning of data, models, and code.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer, focusing on building and maintaining production-grade pipelines and datasets.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of data structures, performance, and optimization techniques.
• Practical experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Databricks Workflows.
• Experience with distributed processing in a cloud environment.
• Background in analytical data modeling, including star and snowflake schemas, data warehouses, ETL/ELT patterns, and dimensional concepts.
• Proven experience building reliable incremental data ingestion pipelines from databases and APIs.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD for data pipelines, Terraform/IaC, and/or DataOps practices.
• Capability to troubleshoot issues across data, infrastructure, pipelines, and deployments.
• Effective communication skills with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• English CV is required.
