Senior Data Engineer, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of cloud-based data pipelines for the processes of ingestion, transformation, and storage.

• Collaborate with AWS services to enhance and sustain data workflows.

• Aid in the validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of analytics pipelines.

• Contribute to the development of data lake solutions utilized for reporting and analytics purposes.

• Assist with reporting and visualization tools employed by business partners.

• Adhere to best practices regarding source control, documentation, and teamwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with AWS data services, including Glue, S3, Aurora, or RDS.

• Over 5 years of experience with contemporary data lake formats such as Parquet or Apache Iceberg.

• Understanding of ETL concepts and the fundamentals of data warehousing.

• Proficient in using source control tools like Bitbucket.

• Familiarity with reporting or analytics tools such as SSRS or Tableau.

• Comfortable working in Agile or DevOps-style team environments.
