This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and optimize the **Snowflake data platform**, focusing on warehouse sizing, cost efficiency, storage strategies, and access control measures.
• Create and manage the **dbt project structure**, encompassing models, macros, testing protocols, documentation, and scalable data contracts.
• Develop and sustain **ELT pipelines** utilizing Fivetran and orchestration tools, ensuring dependable data ingestion from various sources.
• Implement and oversee **data quality and observability frameworks**, including tests, SLAs, lineage tracking, monitoring, and incident response processes.
• Convert **business requirements into scalable data models and reusable datasets**.
• Collaborate with **Analytics, Product, and Marketing teams** to provide high-quality, self-service data solutions.
• Establish and uphold **data modeling standards**, including dimensional and ER models.
• Enhance **query performance and optimize warehouse costs** in Snowflake, delivering insights to stakeholders.
• Define and enforce **data governance policies**, which encompass RBAC, data masking, and handling of PII.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of **complex data initiatives**, from initial design through to production.
• Engage in **code reviews and technical design discussions**, elevating engineering standards.
• Identify and mitigate **technical debt** across pipelines, models, and infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of experience in **data engineering**, focused on building and operating production data pipelines.
• Extensive knowledge of **Snowflake**, including architecture, cost optimization, governance, RBAC, and data masking.
• Proficient experience with **dbt**, covering modeling, testing, macros, and project structure.
• Practical experience with **Fivetran** or comparable ELT tools.
• Strong understanding of **data modeling** principles, including dimensional and entity-relationship models.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining **scalable, production-grade data pipelines**.
• Capability to translate **ambiguous business needs into technical solutions**.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
