Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for a new enterprise solution.

• Identify, map, and address complex entity relationships among SAP Core, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and legacy systems.

• Execute enterprise data cataloging, metadata tracking, and comprehensive data lineage.

• Evaluate execution plans and enhance SQL queries, database configurations, indexing, and partitioning.

• Create and sustain metadata indexing systems for document management platforms.

• Develop ETL/ELT data pipelines that integrate structured, semi-structured, and enterprise data repositories.

• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and global client technical teams to convert business requirements into scalable data architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Enterprise Data Modeling.

• Proficiency in dimensional modeling, Data Vault, ER diagrams, and multi-source relationship mapping.

• Strong expertise in SAP Core, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

• Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools such as OpenMetadata, Apache Atlas, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or dbt docs.

• In-depth knowledge of SQL optimization, indexing strategies, memory tuning, and query troubleshooting.

• Practical experience with Azure or AWS and pipeline orchestration tools like Spark, Databricks, dbt, or Airflow.

• Excellent verbal and professional communication skills.

• Preferred: experience in metadata extraction, indexing, and management for large enterprise document repositories.

• Preferred: familiarity with OCR/document metadata workflows and semi-structured cataloging.

• Preferred: previous experience in delivering solutions for global clients and internal products.
