Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product teams to convert requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions.

• Create, document, and sustain robust data pipelines utilizing tools such as dbt, Dagster, Snowflake, Estuary, and Airbyte.

• Facilitate the deployment and release of functionalities through software integration to support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, construct, and manage cloud-based data infrastructure on AWS, focusing on scalability, performance, and cost efficiency as our data volume increases.

• Develop frameworks and internal self-service tools that enable the data team to deliver value more rapidly.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of previous experience as a software engineer or data engineer in a dynamic, technical, and problem-solving environment.

• Expertise in cloud data warehouse best practices, specifically with Snowflake, including optimization and usage.

• Proficient in ETL, data modeling, and version control, with a preference for knowledge of dbt and GitHub.

• Develop and implement solid data models that guarantee data integrity, consistency, and clarity for both internal and external users.

• Familiarity with the AWS data ecosystem.

• Experience with data extraction tools such as Estuary and Airbyte.

• Proficient in programming languages like Python and JavaScript.

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools, preferably Looker.

• Understanding of data streaming technologies.

• Proven experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineers, product managers, and others to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

• Must be available to work core aligned hours to US Eastern Time / GMT-5.
