This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in enhancing the analytics framework by creating essential Looker views and developing our agentic AI infrastructure to establish automated self-service capabilities and minimize reporting delays.
• Design, construct, and expand ELT pipelines that are resilient, efficient, and modular.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Analytics teams to ensure our data models address the appropriate challenges.
• Create and maintain analytics schemas (including Star Schemas) that simplify complex logic into accessible datasets for users.
• Oversee projects from conception to deployment, taking responsibility for data integrity and the reliability of the platform.
• Track production health utilizing monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Monte Carlo) to ensure the robustness and reliability of our data ecosystem.
• Serve as a technical lead, perform code reviews, establish engineering culture, and advocate for best practices.
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a minimum of 2 years specializing in distributed, large-scale cloud data warehouses.
• Demonstrated expertise in optimizing Snowflake performance and managing costs; familiarity with Snowflake Cortex/MCP is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Python, emphasizing the creation of modular, reusable, and testable code (unit/integration tests) for intricate data processing.
• Advanced SQL skills and a comprehensive understanding of data warehousing methodologies to develop high-performing, scalable analytics layers.
• Hands-on experience with contemporary CI/CD frameworks (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo CD) to enhance engineering speed and platform stability.
• Proficiency in designing and scaling orchestration-as-code workflows (e.g., Prefect or Airflow) to manage complex dependencies and ensure pipeline resilience.
• Extensive experience in implementing monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Datadog) to optimize system uptime while reducing alert fatigue.
• History of managing critical production pipelines with a focus on uptime, data quality, and establishing SLAs.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
