Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaboratively enhance and promote a robust framework for incorporating data-driven thinking into the software development lifecycle.

• Design, architect, and sustain essential operational datasets, data marts, and feature stores.

• Engage deeply with cross-functional partners to grasp their data requirements.

• Foster data quality and implement best practices across various business domains.

• Contribute to the development of next-generation data products at Thumbtack, utilizing AI models for code generation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in designing and constructing data sets and warehouses.

• Exceptional ability to comprehend the needs of and collaborate with stakeholders from different functions, particularly Analytics.

• Proficiency in SQL for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence, as well as for creating SQL- and Python-based transformations within an ETL pipeline.

• Experience in designing, architecting, and maintaining a data warehouse and data marts that cater to multiple stakeholders.

• Expertise in building a cloud-native data warehouse utilizing a modern data stack.

• Familiarity with using AI to generate design plans, code, and documentation.

• Strong sense of ownership and pride in your work.
