Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate requests from business areas, gaining insights into processes and comprehensive data flows.

• Engage in defining the technical solution and architecture for data ingestion, transformation, and utilization.

• Create, enhance, and sustain dimensional and analytical data models within the Data Warehouse and Data Lake.

• Build and maintain data pipelines in both on-premise and cloud settings (ODI, AWS, Fabric).

• Ensure data quality, reliability, integrity, performance, governance, and traceability.

• Collaborate on the integration of Teradata environments with cloud platforms.

• Assist BI and Analytics teams in making data accessible for analytical purposes.

• Advocate for best practices, standardization, continuous improvement of the platform, and provide technical assistance to less experienced teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an analytical mindset, systemic data perspective, and a strong sense of autonomy and accountability.

• Expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling.

• Strong SQL skills with an emphasis on performance and optimization.

• Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly Azure/Microsoft Fabric and AWS.

• Experience in developing pipelines using Python and managing semi-structured data.

• Background in ingesting and organizing data within multi-layered Data Lake architectures.

• Understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform).

• Knowledge of Power BI with an emphasis on semantic modeling and performance.

• Experience with orchestration and versioning of pipelines, DataOps practices, and CI/CD.

• Awareness of monitoring, observability, and cloud cost management.

• Preferred: experience with ODI and Teradata, governance tools, GCP, and modern Lakehouse architectures.
