This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.
• Design and implement secure solutions for data integration, supporting both operations and analytics through high-performing ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Conduct root cause analysis on datasets and processes to address business inquiries and uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Create and manage KPI dashboards to evaluate and monitor results, facilitating informed business decisions.
• Integrate reporting, audits, and processes from multiple business systems.
• Promote data quality and enhance understanding of data stewardship and governance principles.
• Support the definition and maintenance of data business rules, policies, and governance structures.
• Collaborate with the Data Architect to establish project goals and methodologies.
• Assist team members and data engineers in optimizing productivity and efficiency.
• Partner with QA and development colleagues to review and validate code modifications.
• Develop tools and processes that enable clients to extract meaningful insights from data.
• Guide clients in identifying their data needs and leveraging data to achieve business objectives.
• Provide mentorship to data engineers.
• At least eight years of progressive experience as a Data Engineer or Data Integration Developer.
• Proficient in advanced SQL.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Fabric Warehouse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, and Python-based data science solutions.
• Proven experience in developing interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Fabric Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI Service.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-native data platforms utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure, OneLake, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Azure data services.
• Strong foundation in Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Azure Data Factory, Fabric Pipelines, and relevant ETL/ELT technologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing enterprise data models, dimensional models, data warehouses, Lakehouse architecture, and semantic models within Microsoft Fabric.
• Direct experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or DataOps methodologies, including the use of Azure DevOps for project management, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance solutions such as Microsoft Purview, Azure RBAC, and Fabric security frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and solution architects to define data requirements and deliver scalable analytics solutions.
• Willingness to travel four to six times annually, with a maximum of 24 days away from home per calendar year.
• Candidates must reside in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, or South Dakota at the time of application.
