This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Join a team dedicated to assisting both new and existing customers with their data engineering requirements.
• Advise customers on making optimal technical choices to fulfill their objectives.
• Engage with multiple customer accounts that you will need to monitor and report on their progress.
• Design, construct, and implement intricate data solutions, troubleshoot issues, apply transformations, and suggest data cleansing and quality solutions.
• Evaluate data sources to ascertain their significance and recommend inclusion in analytical processes.
• Integrate essential data management skills such as data governance, data security, and data quality.
• Collaborate within and among teams to facilitate delivery and educate end users about data products and analytic environments.
• Conduct data and system analysis, assess and resolve moderate complexity defects and incidents, and correct them as necessary.
• Test data movement, transformation code, and data components.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering and data product development.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• - Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• - Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, HPO)
• - Data Warehousing (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
• Strong understanding of the complete data analytics workflow.
• Proven track record of domain expertise, including the capability to grasp technical concepts and possess extensive knowledge of the systems worked on.
• Established problem-solving skills, including debugging abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Leadership - Intermediate leadership abilities with a demonstrated history of self-motivation in seeking personal growth opportunities.
• Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
• Nice to have: familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Nice to have: Databricks data engineering or machine learning certification.
