This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Serve as a highly regarded technical partner collaborating with product managers and business teams to identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Develop high-quality solutions that adhere to engineering best practices.
• Provide mentorship to junior data engineers and analysts, exemplifying best practices.
• Ensure operational excellence by participating in the team's on-call support rotation and continuously enhancing our systems.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a data engineer, excluding internships.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery platforms in a production environment.
• Senior-level expertise in engineering practices such as CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and metrics analysis.
• Highly skilled in Spark, SQL, and Python (skills will be assessed).
• Willingness to travel to one of our warehouse locations 2-3 times a year.
• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher, such as a Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science or a related technical discipline involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Preferred: Experience in establishing ML environments for data science experiments.
