Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Utilize Claude Code to enhance engineering, orchestrate agentic workflows, and facilitate integration through MCP.

• Design and optimize scalable, dependable, and efficient data pipelines.

• Establish processes and tools that guarantee data quality, accuracy, and consistency, along with thorough documentation throughout the data lifecycle.

• Manage large volumes of diverse data, converting them into insights that aid in decision-making.

• Spot opportunities to refine workflows and propose enhancements to the current data infrastructure.

• Create and sustain analytical models (Gold layer) that back dashboards, reports, and data products for business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of data engineering tools such as Python and SQL.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor).

• Experience with layered data platform architecture (Medallion/Lakehouse), comprising CDC ingestion, batch processing, data catalog, and governance.

• Proficiency with AWS and Databricks platforms.

• Practical experience with data storage systems (FTP, S3, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).

• Hands-on experience maintaining data pipelines in production settings.

• Experience with DuckDB.

• Knowledge of MCP and Claude Code for automating code reviews and implementing AI governance for data.

• Understanding of data integration (ETL/ELT) and event-driven architecture (Kafka).

• Familiarity with data for LLMs/agents.

• Knowledge of data modeling.

• Awareness of agentic workflows.

• Familiarity with GitOps.

• Nice to have: Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch.

• Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, Databricks Asset Bundles).

• Experience with container orchestration, such as Kubernetes, for data pipelines.

• Experience in monitoring data pipelines.

• Experience transitioning from batch to streaming.

• Experience in the Fintech sector.
