Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain cloud-native data pipelines and data lake architectures in Snowflake for ABF investment and portfolio analytics.

• Create and oversee scalable, automated ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and curate both structured and unstructured data.

• Facilitate the comprehensive migration from legacy systems to a contemporary data platform.

• Construct complex data mapping and transformation logic while ensuring alignment of data architecture.

• Execute data cleaning, de-duplication, reconciliation, validation, and ensure financial data integrity checks.

• Convert high-level business requirements into Epics and User Stories within Jira.

• Assist in project planning, timeline estimation, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Support integration testing, cutover planning, and readiness for go-live.

• Collaborate with business, finance, and operations teams to ensure stakeholder alignment and promote operational adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of expert-level SQL experience, including complex queries, CTEs, advanced window functions, conditional logic, intricate joins, and performance enhancement.

• More than 5 years of professional Python development experience, efficiently processing complex datasets and automating workflows using Pandas, Polars, or similar data libraries.

• Practical experience in designing and optimizing cloud-native data warehouses/data lakes, particularly Snowflake.

• Proven track record in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines.

• Specialized knowledge in Asset-Based Finance (ABF) and mortgage servicing, covering settlements, remittances, cash consolidation, and servicing workflows.

• Demonstrated success in managing full lifecycle project delivery, from design and build through to testing and deployment.

• Outstanding communication and change management skills, with a strong ability to connect technical teams and business leadership.
