Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the architecture for the data plane that is fundamental to the entire product.

• Address complex, high-value challenges involving intricate multi-tenant insurance data.

• Establish data engineering standards and provide mentorship to the team.

• Design ingestion and transformation pipelines (bronze → silver → fact) for multiple customers.

• Manage multi-tenant data modeling along with performance and cost considerations for both Postgres and ClickHouse.

• Set the benchmarks for dataset configuration, KPIs, and reconciliation processes that ensure data integrity.

• Create dependable, observable orchestration and spearhead the data quality strategy.

• Mentor data and product engineers while reviewing significant data initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on pipeline and analytical-data architecture.

• Proficient in SQL and Python, with strong expertise in Postgres and hands-on experience with columnar stores (ClickHouse or similar).

• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Temporal, Airflow, Dagster) and large-scale data operability.

• Proven history of establishing standards and leading data projects in a dynamic environment.

• Additional experience in multi-tenant SaaS data, particularly in insurance, fintech, or other regulated/document-heavy domains is a plus.
