Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance legacy ETL and Data Warehouse processes.

• Engage directly with Oracle, Teradata, SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures.

• Create solutions using IBM DataStage or comparable ETL tools such as Informatica or Ab Initio.

• Participate in projects focused on migrating legacy systems to modern data solutions.

• Evaluate existing data structures and align them with contemporary architectures.

• Construct and oversee data pipelines utilizing Apache Spark.

• Manage data operations with object storage systems like AWS S3.

• Play a role in technology assessments, proof-of-concept studies, and future platform strategies.

• Establish technical standards and offer architectural advice to data and analytics teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehouse settings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering field.

• Extensive experience with traditional Data Warehousing and legacy data systems.

• Proficient in Oracle, Teradata, SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures.

• Experience in development with IBM DataStage or similar ETL tools like Informatica or Ab Initio.

• Proven experience in at least one complete data migration or legacy modernization initiative.

• Practical experience with Apache Spark.

• Familiarity with reading and writing data from AWS S3.

• Capability to work actively while contributing at a Senior, Staff Engineer, or Data Architect level.
