This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the transition of analytics and current data workflows into BigQuery, serving as the centralized warehouse and reporting layer.
• Comprehend, enhance, and extend Go services that support Ondo Perps to incorporate additional data into the warehouse.
• Design, construct, and manage reliable, well-tested ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Integrate internal databases, on-chain and market data providers, along with product analytics into coherent, well-structured datasets.
• Set benchmarks for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, testing, lineage, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Data Science to establish foundational metrics and dashboards.
• Ensure data quality, observability, monitoring, access controls, and cost management across the pipelines and warehouse.
• Work alongside Data Science, Backend Engineering, Risk, and Product teams to translate analytical and reporting requirements into robust data infrastructure.
• Over 5 years of data engineering experience in constructing and managing production data pipelines and warehouses.
• Extensive hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse—preferably BigQuery—focusing on performance, partitioning, and cost optimization.
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with contemporary transformation and orchestration tools, such as dbt, Airflow, Dagflow-style schedulers, or similar platforms.
• Experience in designing batch and streaming ingestion methods, including CDC/changefeeds and event pipelines, from operational databases to a warehouse.
• Background in building data infrastructure for fintech, trading, or other high-integrity financial systems where accuracy and auditability are critical.
• High standards for data quality, reliability, testing, observability, and documentation.
• Strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and a proven ability to deliver effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in reading and writing Go, or strong general software engineering capabilities with a proven record of quickly adapting to unfamiliar production codebases.
• Experience with crypto-native or on-chain data and vendors such as Allium, Dune, or Databento.
• Familiarity with CockroachDB, QuestDB, Snowflake, or similar operational and analytical storage solutions.
• Experience facilitating self-service analytics and AI-driven data workflows.
• Exposure to risk, quantitative analytics, or trading microstructure data.
