This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Data Platform & Pipeline Engineering: Create and manage scalable, near real-time data pipelines for payment and platform data.
• Financial Data Modeling: Design and handle intricate transactional and ledger-style data to facilitate financial reconciliation, merchant reporting, and settlement tracking.
• Data Quality & Observability: Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of data across essential workflows.
• Backend & API Development: Develop and sustain backend services to deliver data to internal platforms and downstream users.
• Operational Ownership: Oversee systems comprehensively, from initial deployment through continuous monitoring and reliability.
• Professional Experience: Over 5 years of experience in data engineering or data infrastructure, demonstrating a successful history of deploying and operating production-grade systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL capabilities and solid programming experience with Python or similar backend languages.
• Modern Data Stack: Extensive experience with tools including Airflow, dbt, ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Athena.
• Architectural Knowledge: Profound understanding of event-driven architectures and real-time/near real-time data processing.
• AI Integration: Skilled in utilizing AI-assisted development tools and agents, with a strong emphasis on validating and deploying generated code.
• Reliability Mindset: Background in designing systems where data quality and observability are prioritized as key considerations.
• Sector Expertise: Previous involvement in Fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure (specifically in reconciliation, settlement, or ledger reporting).
• Industry Context: Familiarity with Web3, blockchain, or crypto ecosystems (including on-chain data or wallet analytics).
