This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Become a part of a team of forward-thinking engineers who are constructing and expanding the fundamental data infrastructure, pipelines, and services that drive our products.
• Create and execute a robust data warehouse to accommodate a diverse array of analytics and operational requirements.
• Work closely with stakeholders to collect requirements and translate them into technical solutions, while developing and maintaining efficient data pipelines and curated data sets.
• And naturally—write code every day!
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• A demonstrated history of producing high-quality, production-ready Python code and delivering significant, scalable data initiatives.
• Proficiency in SQL-based data modeling and transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt), emphasizing schema management, performance, and data governance.
• Extensive experience with contemporary ingestion tools, including configuration and deployment on data integration platforms (e.g., Airbyte), commercial ELT pipelines (e.g., Fivetran), and database replication techniques such as Change Data Capture (CDC).
• A solid orchestration background with hands-on experience in building resilient, fault-tolerant pipelines using Apache Airflow, which includes custom alerting, advanced logging, and automated retry mechanisms.
• Familiarity with modern data visualization and analytics tools like Sigma or Tableau.
• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse Architecture, covering native ingestion patterns (e.g., Snowpipe for continuous streaming) and open table formats (e.g., Apache Iceberg).
• Comprehensive understanding of Snowflake administration, including maintaining security compliance, role-based access control (RBAC), external authentication methods, and overseeing downstream data usage in external platforms.
• A 'QA-First' engineering mindset: Strong expertise in end-to-end data quality assurance, regression testing, and data validation, with the ability to troubleshoot data inconsistencies and optimize complex pipelines.
