Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and expand our data platform, including data pipelines, models, and orchestration frameworks.

• Create scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from APIs, databases, and event streams.

• Define and implement systems for the ingestion, storage, processing, and transformation of data.

• Construct and oversee workflow orchestration utilizing tools such as Airflow.

• Develop a semantic layer along with dashboards.

• Establish best practices for data modeling, testing, and ensuring quality.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine data requirements and facilitate BI and analytics use cases.

• Enhance systems for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness from the outset.

• Implement software engineering principles (testing, CI/CD, modular design) in data infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of software engineering experience, with the last 2-3 years focused on data engineering, preferably in early-stage or 0→1 environments.

• Strong programming abilities in Python.

• Advanced SQL proficiency.

• Demonstrated experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines from start to finish.

• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow.

• In-depth understanding of the data lifecycle: ingestion → storage → processing → transformation → serving.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Experience supporting BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.).

• Knowledge of modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
