This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Comprehensive Pipeline Engineering: Design, construct, and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from various source systems into our Snowflake Data Cloud.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee and enhance data flows within an AWS environment (S3, Lambda, IAM), ensuring optimal availability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• High-Volume Processing: Utilize Databricks and Python (PySpark) to manage intricate data transformations and handle large-scale workloads.

• Semantic Layer Implementation: Collaborate with the team to define, create, and expand our Semantic Layer (using dbt Semantic Layer, MetricFlow, or similar) to standardize business logic, metrics, and dimensions for all downstream consumers.

• Model for Truth: Employ dbt to develop modular, version-controlled, and tested data models that establish the definitive foundation for business intelligence.

• Data Governance & Quality Assurance: Establish automated testing and monitoring processes to guarantee the integrity and reliability of completed data marts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake (including clustering, Snowpipe, streams, and tasks) or comparable cloud data warehouses.

• Advanced expertise in dbt and complex SQL transformation logic, with specific experience in constructing semantic models and metric definitions.

• Strong proficiency in Python and practical experience with Databricks for Spark-based orchestration.

• Hands-on experience managing data workloads within the AWS environment.

• In-depth understanding of Git-based workflows and CI/CD processes for data.

• Data Quality Advocate: You view data as a liability until it is governed, and you have a passion for data modeling and minimizing "metric drift" across the organization.

• Scalability and Efficiency Focused: You design with the long-term in mind, creating streamlined, cohesive data environments that reduce redundancy and fragmentation. By emphasizing modular design and automation, you ensure our infrastructure remains stable and navigable as data complexity and volume increase.

• Problem Solver: You identify the root causes of data discrepancies and develop automated solutions to prevent their recurrence.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive compensation, along with participation in our ownership program for all full-time employees - ensuring everyone has a stake in our success.

• Flexible work culture, with remote, hybrid, and in-office collaboration options varying by role, team, and location.

• Generous time-off policy, which includes local holidays and our annual “Dim the Lights” period in late December, encouraging teams to take a step back and recharge according to departmental needs.

• Comprehensive wellness programs and mental health support.

• Access to learning and development resources, including professional development tools and tuition reimbursement, to promote your growth.

• The technology and tools necessary for you to excel in your work.

• Motivosity employee recognition program.

• A culture that is rooted in inclusivity, support, and meaningful connections.
