Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Support long-term strategic planning for contemporary data warehousing requirements.

• Engage in data modeling projects and assist in the continual development of the data warehouse.

• Design, construct, and maintain data pipelines that gather information from various unique sources.

• Oversee, support, and evaluate existing pipelines, pinpointing opportunities for performance enhancements and process optimizations.

• Automate manual tasks managed by the data team.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.

• Ensure the precision, dependability, and accessibility of data within the data warehouse.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create data-driven solutions that meet both business and technical requirements.

• Generate and implement reports as necessary to fulfill operational and business needs.

• Assist in cataloging and classifying current data sets.

• Partake in peer reviews with an emphasis on ongoing improvement and industry best practices.

• Address regulatory or business inquiries regarding data and reporting.

• Mentor team members and offer guidance on best practices in data engineering.

• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of pertinent experience in data engineering.

• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server.

• Practical experience in designing, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines.

• Familiarity with database design and data modeling.

• Experience in supporting and troubleshooting SSIS packages.

• Knowledge of consuming event-driven data via APIs, queues, or similar integration techniques.

• Experience in an Agile software development setting.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

• Capability to function effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

• Adaptability and readiness to assume new responsibilities as business requirements change.
