Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a data specialist and foster innovation within the department.

• Create and implement cutting-edge big data platforms for advanced analytics and data processing.

• Develop scalable and efficient solutions utilizing modern technology stacks.

• Provide support to software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data-focused initiatives.

• Ensure optimal data delivery architecture across various ongoing projects.

• Identify, design, and execute internal process enhancements.

• Automate manual tasks and improve data delivery processes.

• Revamp infrastructure to achieve greater scalability.

• Design, develop, code, test, and document architectures and applications.

• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to ensure alignments of deliverables with business requirements and best practices.

• Diagnose and resolve data-related issues.

• Propose enhancements to data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

• Be available to perform duties outside of regular working hours based on business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5-8 years of directly relevant experience.

• Familiarity with Agile SDLC methodology.

• Proficient in SQL and T-SQL programming languages.

• Experience in building data/ETL pipelines and data warehouses.

• Expertise in data modeling, database maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning on SQL Server, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.

• Exceptional analytical skills for interpreting large and complex data sets.

• Strong testing and data validation capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with precise documentation.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.

• Analytical, creative thinker with innovative problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient working knowledge of modern cloud computing technologies.

• Successful completion of a background check and credit check as a condition of employment, where permitted by applicable law.
