📋 Description

• The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of Empower’s enterprise data infrastructure, facilitating quicker decision-making, improved quality, and scalable growth within a highly regulated 503A/503B pharmacy setting.

• This position transforms intricate business, operational, and compliance requirements into secure, dependable, AI-enabled data products, pipelines, models, and platforms that boost speed, scalability, quality, and decision-making processes.

• The role encompasses complete ownership of vital data engineering outcomes, covering architecture, integration, automation, governance, and performance optimization.

• Achieving success in this role necessitates P80-P90 talent: strategic insight, rigorous execution, adaptability in learning, technical proficiency, and the capability to elevate standards while collaborating with Technology, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams in a fast-paced growth environment, where data reliability is crucial for patients, providers, and overall enterprise performance amidst urgent demands, shifting priorities, and significant executive scrutiny daily.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in data engineering, with direct responsibility for cloud data platforms, data modeling, data warehousing, pipeline development, and enterprise data integration.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar quantitative field; equivalent experience may be accepted.

• Extensive experience with AWS serverless technologies, SQL, Python or similar programming languages, relational and non-relational databases, ELT and ETL tools, visualization enablement, and production support.

• Experience in designing governed data solutions within fast-paced, complex, or regulated environments; familiarity with healthcare, pharmacy, life sciences, or manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Preferred certifications include AWS Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, Snowflake, Data Vault 2.0, or proven expertise in Kimball and Inmon modeling methodologies.
