Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development, modeling, optimization, and governance of our data processes.

• Empower business teams, analytics, and vendor partners with efficient, high-quality solutions.

• Play a role in delivering and designing scalable processes and data models utilizing Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Kafka.

• Mentor and work closely with fellow engineers while collaborating with product leadership.

• Convert complex data requirements into reliable, trusted processes and data structures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for both transactional and analytical/reporting workloads.

• Experience with SQL Server and contemporary cloud data platforms, especially Snowflake.

• Proven track record in constructing end-to-end data pipelines and facilitating near real-time data integration using technologies such as Kafka, Confluent, CDC, and Snowflake.

• Strong grasp of dimensional modeling, star schemas, normalized design, and principles of enterprise data architecture.

• Proficient in Python for automation, data processing, validation, and integrations.

• Familiarity with dbt and modern ELT development methodologies.

• Practical experience with Argo or similar workflow orchestration tools.

• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows via GitHub or Azure DevOps.

• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and machine learning concepts for automation, predictive insights, anomaly detection, or intelligent workflow enhancements.

• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management.

• Proven capability to mentor colleagues and contribute to team development and continuous improvement.
