Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable and high-performance data infrastructure.

• Create and manage real-time and batch data pipelines utilizing Kafka, Databricks, and Snowflake.

• Construct dependable data solutions for vital reporting and analytics.

• Design AI-driven data experiences for exploration and analysis.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into analytics-ready datasets.

• Design and enhance modern data models (Star Schema, Data Vault).

• Promote best practices in data engineering and provide mentorship to team members.

• Work in an agile environment to accommodate changing business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and distributed data systems.

• Strong expertise in Python and SQL.

• Practical experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, and cloud-based data platforms.

• Knowledge of AWS and DevOps tools (Terraform, PagerDuty, Datadog).

• Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, ETL frameworks, and data modeling techniques.

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).

• Proficient in AI-assisted engineering tools (Claude Code, Codex).

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
