This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Senior and Staff Engineers to develop well-defined features pertaining to the ingestion, modeling, and synchronization of GitLab and third-party data into the knowledge graph, ensuring objectives for data freshness, synchronization reliability, and graph coverage are met.

• Create components for integrations with external systems such as Jira, observability tools, Zendesk, and ServiceNow, enhancing indexed business context and achieving team objectives for data completeness and freshness in the graph.

• Develop features for the Software Engineering Intelligence dashboards, which include DORA, value stream reporting, GitLab Duo, and software development lifecycle metrics consolidated across various organizational structures, aligning with team goals for reporting accuracy, performance, and coverage.

• Engage in design discussions and provide technical direction for your features, with support from Senior and Staff Engineers, to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance solutions in a timely manner.

• Identify blockers and risks early on, collaborating with Senior Engineers to resolve issues, ensuring that milestones remain on schedule and minimizing delivery risks.

• Take part in design and code reviews, applying constructive feedback to enhance code quality, maintainability, and delivery speed.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the system, including the data model and the underlying platform, enabling you to implement changes more autonomously and troubleshoot issues more effectively.


⛳️ Requirements

• You take initiative by identifying ownership, clarifying the process, making necessary trade-offs, developing initial versions, and persistently pushing until the task is completed.

• Extensive production experience in building and operating full-stack applications.

• Proficient in full-stack development using Go, Ruby, and Node.

• Experience with data platforms such as ClickHouse or similar OLAP systems, focusing on data modeling and query optimization.

• Practical experience in developing AI-driven product features.

• Familiarity with operating multi-tenant applications in both software as a service and self-managed environments.

• High productivity combined with sound judgment, strong written communication skills, and the ability to break down complex initiatives into actionable milestones while fostering alignment among stakeholders in an asynchronous environment.

• Experience in building third-party or API integrations.
