This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Design, develop, and enhance scalable data pipelines that support enterprise healthcare analytics and reporting initiatives.
• Construct and automate ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured healthcare data sources.
• Develop and extend semantic data layers in GCP and BigQuery to ensure reliable and consistent analytics consumption across business teams.
• Create and implement scalable ELT/ETL workflows utilizing modern cloud-native architecture patterns.
• Automate orchestration, monitoring, and operational processes throughout the data platform.
• Collaborate with architects, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Enhance BigQuery performance, partitioning, and query efficiency to boost scalability and manage costs effectively.
• Apply engineering best practices for testing, observability, reliability, deployment automation, and operational support.
• Contribute to initiatives related to data governance, metadata management, and data quality across the platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or cloud data platform development.
• In-depth expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer or orchestration tools, and Dataflow or modern ingestion frameworks.
• Proven experience in designing and building scalable data ingestion and pipeline automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of semantic layer development and dimensional modeling concepts.
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python development.
• Experience with the design, orchestration, and optimization of ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud engineering best practices.
• Strong grasp of data quality, observability, and operational reliability principles.
• Previous experience in healthcare data ecosystems and regulated enterprise environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare analytics platforms, payer/provider data models, or healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience in supporting enterprise BI and analytics initiatives.
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience is strongly preferred.
