Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance scalable data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Develop and sustain data ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines.

• Implement architectures following the Medallion model (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).

• Ensure governance, data quality, performance, and cost optimization within BigQuery environments.

• Continuously assess opportunities for architectural enhancements.

• Collaborate with data exported from Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

• Validate events, parameters, and the integrity of digital data collection.

• Conduct troubleshooting and tagging validation.

• Manage complex event structures in BigQuery.

• Automate data engineering workflows.

• Create internal tools to boost productivity.

• Implement monitoring, automated validations, and best practices in Data Engineering.

• Establish naming conventions, taxonomy, and data quality guidelines.

• Keep technical documentation current.

• Ensure traceability (Data Lineage) and a clear understanding of pipelines.

• Advocate for governance best practices within the team.

• Act as a technical resource for Product, BI, and Martech teams.

• Engage in agile ceremonies and assist in defining data requirements.

• Support technical decisions related to the digital data ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior Data Engineer.

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Dataform.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Experience in constructing and maintaining data pipelines.

• Familiarity with the Medallion architecture.

• Experience with digital data, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and tagging validation.

• Background in data governance and data quality.

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Proactive in suggesting improvements.

• Capable of working independently.

• Collaborative and consultative approach.
