This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Design and construct ETL/ELT data pipelines to acquire, process, and transform extensive datasets from various sources.
• Apply best practices for performance enhancement, partitioning, and clustering to improve data queries and minimize expenses.
• Establish and uphold data quality benchmarks, data governance frameworks, and security policies for data storage and access.
• Develop and refine data models and schemas to meet analytics, reporting, and machine learning needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create data solutions that integrate with BI tools and machine learning models.
• Produce thorough documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and processes.
• Share expertise and mentor junior data engineers.
• Over 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Expertise in Python, particularly in relation to ETL pipelines.
• Strong command of SQL and experience in crafting complex queries.
• Familiarity with pySpark, DBT, or other comparable frameworks.
• Experience in deploying data pipelines within a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and the creation of data marts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to collaborate effectively with data scientists, analysts, and product stakeholders.
