Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and execute architectural solutions for rapid, scalable data pipelines.

• Design and uphold Medallion Architecture or comparable tiered frameworks.

• Spearhead the adoption of managed and serverless cloud services for cloud-native applications.

• Utilize lakehouses and data warehouses effectively.

• Promote best practices for ETL/ELT workflows, data governance, and data quality assurance.

• Employ dbt and Fivetran for job orchestration and execution of notebook code.

• Establish and implement data security and access control policies.

• Ensure resilient systems across diverse technology environments and BI integrations.

• Lead consulting initiatives that are client-facing and engage customers directly.

• Shape technical solutions and guidance for clients.

• Articulate complex architectural decisions clearly.

• Mentor team members and influence the technical direction of client projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of practical experience in the field as a hands-on Data Engineering expert.

• 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.

• Proven leadership in architectural solutions, system optimization, and data governance.

• Mastery of Python programming.

• Advanced skills in SQL.

• Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java is advantageous.

• Extensive experience in designing and developing CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code management.

• Deep knowledge in optimizing ETL/ELT processes.

• Expertise in dimensional data modeling.

• Strong understanding of data security best practices.

• Proficient in 3–5 major cloud and data platforms.

• Exposure to AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and Fabric.

• Demonstrated ability to lead customer interactions and guide technical direction in a consulting setting.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
