Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain data pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and normalization of data from various sources.

• Lead the architecture design and implementation of data ingestion solutions in Snowflake, ensuring both scalability and reliability.

• Employ best practices in data validation to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and dependability across datasets.

• Conduct data transformation and normalization to facilitate analytics and reporting requirements.

• Handle large datasets utilizing SQL and Python to efficiently process and analyze data.

• Maintain data quality by establishing validation rules, checks, and monitoring mechanisms.

• Collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to comprehend data needs and convert them into scalable solutions.

• Provide support for ETL processes and manage file handling workflows for structured and semi-structured data.

• Contribute to documentation and the ongoing enhancement of data processes and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Analytics roles with a strong engineering emphasis.

• Significant hands-on experience with Snowflake (essential).

• Strong practical experience using Python for data processing and transformation.

• Extensive experience with SQL and managing large-scale datasets.

• Demonstrated expertise in data validation, transformation, and normalization.

• Experience in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines and managing data ingestion workflows.

• Exceptional attention to detail, focusing on data quality and reliability.

• Ability to thrive in cross-functional environments and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Nice to have: Experience with Salesforce data structures.

• Familiarity with Tamarac or similar RIA platforms.

• Experience with Compass or SharePoint integrations.

• Experience with file handling and ingestion methods (e.g., CSV, JSON, batch files).
