This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Participate in the design and creation of scalable data pipelines on AWS (Glue, S3, Athena, Step Functions).
• Develop and enhance batch and streaming ingestion pipelines, including architectures based on Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Assist in the design and execution of data models that meet business and analytical requirements.
• Maintain data quality, reliability, and performance across all pipelines and datasets.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions are in alignment with business objectives.
• Implement best practices in data engineering, emphasizing modular design, reusability, and governance.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and improve code quality.
• Actively identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization within data workflows.
• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• At least 2 years in a Lead or Senior role.
• Extensive experience with the AWS ecosystem (Glue, S3, Athena, Step Functions) (MUST).
• Proficient hands-on experience with Python and PySpark (MUST).
• In-depth knowledge of data pipeline architecture and design patterns.
• Significant hands-on experience with Snowflake (Plus).
• Experience in implementing and scaling CDC (Change Data Capture) patterns.
• Strong background in data modeling for analytics and reporting.
• Experience in leading projects or teams in data engineering settings.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Plus).
