Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Establishment, operation, and further development of a scalable data platform (Warehouse / Lake / Lakehouse)

• Development and maintenance of robust ETL/ELT pipelines for integrating diverse data sources

• Assurance of data quality, performance, scalability, and cost optimization

• Implementation of monitoring, governance, and security concepts (including GDPR compliance)

• Close collaboration with analytics, product, and engineering teams

• Automation of data processes and continuous improvement of existing architectures

• Active participation in shaping the data strategy and evaluation of new technologies

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in data engineering or a similar role

• Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL, along with clean engineering standards (tests, CI/CD)

• Solid understanding of modern data architectures and data modeling

• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and common data tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark, Snowflake)

• Strong quality and ownership mindset for productive data pipelines

• Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and translate business requirements

• Team player with an interest in mentoring and continuous personal development

• Proficient English skills (required); German skills are a plus
