Senior Data Engineer, AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Analyze and design specific client use cases for utilizing data- and AI-driven IT solutions.

• Develop actionable solution concepts that encompass technical, functional, and architectural aspects.

• Create Proof of Concept (PoC), Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and production-ready applications for both cloud and on-premise environments.

• Leverage modern LLM technologies, including embeddings, re-ranking, prompting, fine-tuning, retrieval concepts, and other methodologies that enhance customer value.

• Work closely with our architects, consultants, and clients to seamlessly integrate solutions into existing system architectures.

• Play a key role in the ongoing development of our product lines (QI-Box, QI-Flow) and our standardized implementation processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering.

• Strong expertise in Python and popular ML/DL frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.

• Solid background in working with LLMs, RAG systems, embeddings, and evaluation techniques.

• Proficient in managing relational databases, SQL, and vector databases.

• Experience in constructing robust data pipelines and a basic understanding of MLOps.

• Familiarity with structured data (e.g., time series) as well as unstructured data (text, PDFs, documents).

• Experience with both cloud and on-premise environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Knowledge of containerized deployments, API design, and integration processes.

• A structured and independent approach to work.

• Excellent communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to clients.

• Proficient in German, with at least a B2/C1 level of fluency.
