Senior Data Engineer, AI Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and uphold scalable data architectures and models.

• Develop and enhance ETL processes and data ingestion pipelines in accordance with Medallion Architecture principles.

• Create and sustain Snowflake data warehouse solutions along with dbt transformation models.

• Develop workflow orchestration pipelines utilizing Dagster or comparable tools.

• Oversee and optimize cloud-based data storage on AWS S3.

• Design and maintain graph-based data models where applicable.

• Support entity-matching pipelines and their associated data structures.

• Collaborate closely with AI and Data Science teams to ensure reliable data accessibility for AI applications.

• Provide technical expertise and advocate for data engineering best practices within the team.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to initiatives for continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role.

• Extensive experience in designing scalable data architectures and models.

• Practical experience implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

• Experience in building ETL processes and data ingestion pipelines.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL.

• Production experience with PostgreSQL or Supabase.

• Practical experience with Snowflake.

• Experience utilizing dbt for data transformation.

• Familiarity with AWS, particularly S3.

• Experience using Dagster or similar workflow orchestration tools.

• Knowledge of graph databases.

• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, including embeddings and AI-driven data workflows.

• Experience with Git and collaborative software development practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Upper-Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (B2+/C1).
