• We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to join our team immediately and contribute to the foundation of our data-driven future.

• You will take ownership of the development of our data architecture from start to finish and play a crucial role in leveraging data as a genuine strategic asset across the organization.

• You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership, with your decisions directly influencing how data is stored, accessed, trusted, and utilized.

• Your Mission

• - Take charge of designing and evolving our comprehensive data architecture, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and maintainable over the long term.

• - Establish and implement data modeling standards, including domain models, schemas, and data contracts throughout the organization.

• - Architect and enhance modern data pipelines (both batch and real-time), ensuring robust and high-quality data flow across systems.

• - Build and advance our core data platform (warehouse/lakehouse), balancing performance, cost, scalability, and simplicity.

• - Establish strong practices for data quality, observability, and governance to ensure trustworthy and consistent data across the company.

• - Translate intricate business requirements into scalable and well-structured data architectures.

• - Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership to align data architecture with product and business strategies.

• - Facilitate self-service analytics by designing clean, well-structured datasets and semantic layers.

• - Utilize automation and AI where it significantly enhances data engineering efficiency, reliability, or insight generation.

• - Continuously assess and introduce modern data technologies, patterns, and best practices.

• Your Profile

• - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• - Several years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or in a similar capacity, preferably in fast-paced or high-growth environments (experience in regulated sectors/healthcare is a plus).

• - Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and contemporary Cloud Data Warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres, etc.), along with modern data architectures.

• - Demonstrated experience in data modeling and managing data-intensive systems (Star/Snowflake, ideally with experience in data build tools).

• - Practical experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Metabase, Looker).

• - Solid understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data governance principles.

• - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

• - Experience in integrating AI tools into daily workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).

• - Strong analytical mindset paired with excellent problem-solving capabilities.

• - Outstanding communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical teams.

• - Proficient in English; German is a significant advantage.
