Senior Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and advancement of our enterprise data architecture.

• Define and drive the enterprise data architecture strategy across Azure data platforms, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, analytics, and integration services.

• Create scalable, secure, and high-performance data models, pipelines, and platform architectures that meet both business and technical requirements.

• Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices to ensure data quality, lineage, security, and lifecycle management.

• Oversee solution design evaluations, architecture documentation, and provide implementation guidance for significant data initiatives.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and business intelligence professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management.

• Extensive expertise in enterprise data modeling, Snowflake architecture, and large-scale Azure data platform design.

• Strong understanding of Azure cloud data architectures, Azure Data Lake, and contemporary integration patterns.

• Proven experience in defining governance, metadata, master data, and data quality frameworks.

• Advanced skills in SQL, database design, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and aligning architecture with reporting and decision support requirements.

• Comprehensive understanding of security, compliance, and risk considerations within Azure and Snowflake enterprise environments.

• Preferred knowledge of data governance tools, architecture frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape long-term enterprise data and analytics strategies is preferred.
