Senior Data – Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the data architecture throughout ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers, utilizing a centralized cloud data warehouse.

• Construct and sustain scalable data pipelines from a diverse range of internal and external data sources, ensuring reliability, completeness, and precision.

• Create robust validation frameworks to monitor data quality and swiftly identify issues.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making processes.

• Design and maintain data models that facilitate financial reporting, operational analytics, and merchandising insights.

• Collaborate closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate and reconcilable reporting across revenue, costs, and unit economics.

• Build and sustain dashboards and reports utilized by leadership to inform company-wide decisions.

• Quickly identify and resolve data issues, balancing speed and accuracy in a dynamic environment.

• Support integrations between core business systems, ensuring clean, consistent data across all platforms.

• Investigate and implement AI-driven workflows that improve data accessibility and enhance decision-making.

• Automate manual reporting processes to bolster operational efficiency across teams.

• Serve as a cross-functional partner, converting ambiguous business questions into clear, actionable insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or advanced analytics roles.

• Significant experience with GCP and BigQuery, including materialized views, scheduled queries, and large-scale SQL optimization.

• Experience with contemporary data ingestion tools—Airbyte (Cloud or OSS) is strongly preferred; comfortable managing connectors, troubleshooting sync failures, and developing validation frameworks.

• Strong SQL and data modeling proficiency, with a comfort level using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to expedite development. Familiarity with CTEs, window functions, UNION ALL patterns, date-spine techniques, and anti-join logic is essential.

• Proven history of supporting financial reporting and collaborating closely with finance teams on P&L reconciliation, COGS analysis, revenue waterfalls, and unit-economics datasets.

• Experience in creating dashboards and reports using modern BI tools.

• Understanding of AI workflows and the development of structured datasets for LLM-powered agents.

• Experience working across various business domains (operations, marketing, finance, product, etc.).

• Strong ownership mindset with the capability to operate independently.
