Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Responsible for data modeling involving facts, dimensions, and metrics, along with the upkeep of pipelines and transformations utilizing SQL and the team's tools (such as dbt, Spark, or Databricks).

• Play a key role in quality assurance tests and the documentation of metrics and business rules.

• Aid in the delivery of tables and views for analytical purposes, ensuring adherence to best practices regarding naming conventions, descriptions, and consistency.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI/Analysts, and Data Science on well-defined tasks.

• Engage in governance initiatives that include lineage, cataloging, and access, while also contributing to gradual enhancements in data reliability.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in intermediate SQL (including queries, joins, and aggregations) with an eagerness to advance in modeling and transformation best practices.

• Fundamental understanding of dimensional modeling, data layers, and data quality, with the team available to help you enhance these skills.

• A keen interest in governance practices related to documentation, consistency, and traceability.

• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills; an inquisitive individual with a quick learning ability.
