Senior Data Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create impactful reports and analytics that enhance visibility into business operations and lead initiatives to automate reporting processes.

• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to boost the comprehension, visibility, and utilization of business metrics while promoting self-service analytics.

• Conduct ad hoc data exploration and analysis to address immediate business requirements.

• Spot opportunities for enhancing data quality, performance, and observability.

• Assist in establishing standards for best practices in analytics engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or roles heavily focused on analytics.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Economics, bioinformatics, etc.) or equivalent experience.

• Proficient in advanced SQL with a strong grasp of CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.

• Experience collaborating directly with business teams to align on KPIs, define requirements, and provide meaningful insights.

• Comfortable creating and maintaining data dictionaries, dbt Docs, or internal wikis.

• Skilled in designing and constructing BI assets that are both understandable and sustainable, whether they are Excel spreadsheets, BI dashboards, or PowerPoint presentations.

• Familiarity with Python and shell scripting is advantageous.

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD workflows for data engineering projects.

• Experience with DBT/DBT core.

• Proficient with various BI tools (e.g., Looker, Mode, Tableau).

• A curious, self-motivated, analytical individual with a passion for working with data.

• A solid foundation in data quality, testing, and documentation.
