This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Responsible for Data Analysis & Visualization: Track and enhance key performance indicators such as fraud costs, chargeback volume, fraud rates, and revenue loss.
• Strategic Communication: Frequently communicate results and insights to cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership, to inform strategic decision-making for process and performance enhancements.
• Development of Single Source of Truth (SSOT) Dashboards and Reporting Models: Collaborate with Data Science and broader Fraud & Identity analysts to implement robust models in DBT and Snowflake, while designing dashboards that offer a consolidated view of critical business data related to Shopper fulfillment, Shopper Payment, and PoS (point of sale) Checkout.
• Collaboration on Roadmaps: Partner with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional Analytics teams to understand growth and risk factors concerning new and evolving fraud vectors.
• Operational Data Analysis: Examine shopper behavioral signals to detect unusual patterns that may indicate fraud or policy violations.
• A/B Testing & Experimentation: Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests by formulating test plans, defining success metrics, and analyzing data to derive actionable insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the Engineering and Product teams to implement new product features while ensuring effective event tracking and data integrity.
• Automation and Reporting: Develop automated reporting systems to keep operations leaders updated on trends, variations, and opportunities across different geographies and teams.
• A minimum of 6 to 8 years of analytical experience, ideally in payments, fraud, or identity sectors.
• Capability to identify potential root causes that contribute to changes in metrics and offer recommendations for mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record in resolving complex transaction challenges.
• High proficiency in SQL, with experience in crafting complex queries, joins, and optimizations.
• Familiarity with R/Python (fluency in at least one language is preferred).
• Experience with analytical visualization tools such as Mode, Tableau, Looker, Periscope, or similar software.
• Understanding of A/B testing and other statistical analysis methods using statistical packages.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to distill complex topics and create engaging narratives for diverse audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including data scientists and data engineers.
• Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to help others learn.
• High level of accountability and ownership – a driven and focused self-starter.
• Strategic mindset – the ability to anticipate future directions for the company.
• Experience in e-commerce, CNP payments, finance, SaaS, digital goods, or marketplace industries.
• Proven experience in enhancing understanding of customers and their interactions with products through in-depth user behavior and engagement analyses.
