Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.

📋 Description

• Analyze, cleanse, and structure datasets to uncover trends and provide actionable insights that aid teams throughout QS.

• Develop and sustain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, facilitating self-service analytics for business units.

• Convert intricate datasets into straightforward, actionable visual insights, applying best practices in data storytelling to back strategic initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into concise analyses and reports.

• Execute data wrangling and basic ETL tasks, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and readiness for analysis.

• Employ SQL (PostgreSQL, BigQuery SQL) and Python for querying, data manipulation, and ad-hoc analysis.

• Uphold data quality standards and document processes, maintaining well-organized datasets for analytical purposes.

• Monitor and resolve data-related issues to guarantee consistent and timely delivery of data and reports.

• Keep abreast of BI tool advancements and data visualization best practices to continually enhance reporting and insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL (PostgreSQL and BigQuery) for querying and data analysis.

• Practical experience with BI tools like Power BI to design dashboards and reports.

• Solid experience with cloud data warehouse platforms such as BigQuery or Snowflake.

• Familiarity with fundamental ETL processes and data cleansing techniques to prepare datasets for analysis.

• Basic proficiency in Python for data manipulation (utilizing libraries like Pandas, NumPy) and assisting the ML team with data preparation.

• Knowledge of data quality standards, emphasizing accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

• Experience in documenting data processes and analyses to ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility.

• Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and convey findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A curious mindset and a willingness to continuously learn new tools and methods to enhance data analysis and visualization.
