Senior Data & AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and AI solutions customized to meet business requirements, including the establishment of governance frameworks and access control strategies.

• Create, implement, and enhance robust data pipelines utilizing modern frameworks such as Databricks or equivalent technologies.

• Oversee and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, encompassing containerization and orchestration.

• Serve as a reliable technical advisor and collaborative partner for our clients.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver impactful data-driven solutions.

• Monitor, optimize, and ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of data workflows.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in data engineering and adopt innovative methods to tackle complex challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in designing and implementing scalable data solutions, platforms, and data integration interfaces.

• Strong proficiency in data modeling (e.g., dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization).

• Demonstrated experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred, but experience with AWS or GCP is also welcome) as well as tools such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and architectural patterns like Medallion.

• Strong programming abilities in Python and SQL, with a curiosity and willingness to leverage AI-assisted stakeholders.

• Solid software engineering mindset, including experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices.

• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A consulting-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.

• Proficiency in German (C1 level) and English for stakeholder interactions.

• Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and a commitment to continuous learning in the evolving data and AI landscape, along with a desire to explore innovative IT solutions.

• High degree of ownership, self-motivation, and the capability to quickly engage with new subjects while constructively questioning the status quo.

• Valid certifications in Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and MS Azure are considered a significant advantage.
