Senior Cybersecurity, Network Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance processes related to network security, server security, endpoint security, and data protection.

• Manage and improve security technologies including Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS protection, Web Proxy, EDR/XDR, Email Security, Sandbox, SIEM, DLP, and PAM.

• Monitor security events, probe incidents, coordinate remediation measures, and assist in root cause analysis.

• Conduct risk assessments, business impact evaluations, follow up on vulnerabilities, and review security controls.

• Ensure adherence to applicable security standards and regulations such as KVKK, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT, Law No. 5651, Law No. 6493, and requirements for payment systems information security.

• Take responsibility for the implementation of security policies, configuration hardening, access control, logging, monitoring, and preparation for audits across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.

• Assist with penetration testing, vulnerability management, auditing, and third-party security evaluation processes.

• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, convert them into actionable security improvements, and create documentation/reports for stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Systems, or related disciplines.

• At least 5 years of experience in Network Security, Information Security, Cybersecurity Operations, IT Risk, or IT Audit.

• Practical experience with Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS, VPN, Web Proxy, NAC, EDR/XDR, SIEM, DLP, or PAM technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN, Routing & Switching, TCP/IP, IPSec/SSL VPN, VLAN, MPLS, NAT, BGP, and network segmentation.

• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks such as KVKK, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT.

• Proficient in English.

• Strong analytical skills, a sense of ownership, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity for cross-functional collaboration.

• Possession of certifications like CCNP, CCSA, PCNSA, CEH, CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 LA, or equivalent is preferred.
