This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Design, implement, and uphold security measures that align with company policies and federal regulations.
• Develop solutions to safeguard cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Deploy and manage SIEM, vulnerability scanners, EDR, and identity protection technologies.
• Assist in architecture reviews for new technologies and applications.
• Analyze security incidents and work with SOC teams to enhance detection and response.
• Lead efforts in vulnerability remediation alongside infrastructure and application teams.
• Create automation for security processes and enforcement of controls.
• Contribute to Zero Trust architecture, access management, and segmentation strategies.
• Produce system designs, standards, runbooks, and configuration baselines.
• Support compliance audits, risk evaluations, and validation of controls.
• Assess security technologies and recommend their adoption.
• Assist with CMS activities.
• Potentially provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Help Desk support teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or related fields.
• In-depth understanding of network security, identity management, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
• Practical experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management tools, and security monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS, Zero Trust, and other security frameworks.
• Proficient in writing technical documentation and communicating security concepts effectively.
• Experience in scripting or automating tasks using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
• Security certifications such as CISSP or CISA are preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
• Ability to interpret logged security events.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning applications and analyzing results.
• Familiarity with Fortigate Firewall, application scanning, and endpoint protection.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Config, CloudTrail/CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Route 53, CloudFront, and CloudFormation.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root-cause analysis.
• US citizenship is not a requirement.
• Travel required: less than 10%.
• Full-flex work week with core hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM ET to 3:00 PM ET.
